BUTLER, Pa. — Margery Louise Brand Vossler, 87, of Butler, formerly of Wellsville, N.Y., was called to her heavenly home Friday, Dec. 5, 2025, with her family by her side.
Born Nov. 19, 1938, in Buffalo, N.Y., she was the daughter of Edward A. and Julia C. Tiffany Brand. On Aug. 30, 1958, in Amherst, N.Y., she married Lawrence R. Vossler, who predeceased her June 25, 2016.
Marge previously resided in Williamsville, N.Y., and was a 1956 graduate of Williamsville High School (now Williamsville South). In addition, she was a graduate of SUNY Alfred with an A.A.S. degree in accounting and banking.
She was previously employed by Kailbourne Supply Company, Frank E. Randall Public Accountant and the former Citizens National Bank and Key Bank from 1976-1994, retiring as assistant manager of the Belmont, N.Y. office.
Marge was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church of Cabot, and a former member and long-time treasurer of First Trinity Lutheran Church, Wellsville, along with its choir, Couples Club, Ladies Aid and Altar Guild. She was a member and former treasurer of the Allegany County Cooperative Extension; member of the Catherine Schuyler Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution; member, advertising director and treasurer of the Allegany County Fair board of directors; and member, secretary and treasurer of the Belmont Rotary Club.
Surviving are three children, Rev. Dr. L. Richard Vossler Jr. and his wife Coralyn of Wanaque, N.J., Terry E. Vossler and his wife Janet of Butler and Karl S. Vossler and his wife Lori of Purcellville, Va.; nine grandchildren, Christopher and Gerianne Vossler, Benjamin and Candice Vossler, Sara Vossler, Christopher Schroeder, Heather and Maxwell Muska, Matthew and Sarah Schroeder, Katrina Vossler and fiancé Zack Coker, Michael Vossler and Elizabeth Vossler; seven great-grandchildren, Juliette Schroeder, Zachariah Schroeder, Harper Muska, Thaddaeus Schroeder, Naomi Schroeder, Esther Schroeder and Malachi Schroeder; a brother, Peter T. Brand of Hamburg, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased, in addition to her parents and husband, by a granddaughter-in-law, Amy Vossler; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Brand; and three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Walter and Florence Vossler, Donald and Janice Vossler and Jack and Marilyn Palmer.
Friends may call at First Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 470 North Main Street, Wellsville, NY from 10 a.m. noon Saturday, Dec. 27, 2025, with a memorial service following at noon with Rev. Bill Willson presiding. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Wellsville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund; Hart Comfort House; or American Diabetes Association.
