MANSFIELD — Linda Dunkleman, born Dec. 16, 1949, in Lackawanna, was the daughter of the late Andrew and Beulah Robinson Reese.
On Aug. 24, 1968, she married Wayne Dunkleman, who survives her.
Mrs. Dunkleman dedicated more than 30 years of service, retiring as assistant branch manager at the Cattaraugus County Bank, where she was respected for her professionalism and kindness.
Linda had a deep love for nature, especially the joy of watching and feeding hummingbirds. She also enjoyed classic films and treasured the many vacations she and Wayne shared in Mexico and the Dominican Republic.
A devoted grandmother, Linda delighted in baking and teaching her grandchildren the art of it. She especially loved when her home was filled with family, laughter and the presence of her grandchildren. Her German potato salad and red velvet cake will remain family favorites, lovingly remembered for generations.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, Linda is survived by her son, Wayne (Kami) Dunkleman Jr. of Cornersville, Tenn.; two daughters, Shannon (Todd) Palmatier of Little Valley and Stacey (Mark) Nordwall of Lakewood; and seven grandchildren, Breanne, Ryan, Evan, Brice, Regan, Braedyn and Camden. She is also survived by three brothers, Dane Reese of Little Valley, Gary Reese of Waynesburg, Pa. and Todd Reese of Little Valley; two sisters, Gwyn (Gregory) Parkhurst of Brockport and Shelley (Kenneth) Butcher of Randolph; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her infant son, Andrew William Dunkleman; and her brother, Delvin Reese.
A celebration of Linda’s life will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Liver Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation, or the Audubon Community Nature Center.
