Barbara Ann Atkins

ROCHESTER — Barbara Ann Atkins passed away at Monroe Community Hospital in Rochester on Thursday (Dec. 11, 2025).

She graduated from Bolivar Central School in 1960.

Barb was a Korean War veteran and trained at the USA WAC School at Fort McClellan, Ala. She worked at the Hospital Det Munson AH, Ft. Leavenworth Kan.

Barbara is survived by her niece, Brenda Barkley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents, William and Susie Greene; and nine siblings in Wellsville.

The family would like to thank a few special nurses who truly cared about Barb, Gordon, Storm, Stacy, Daryl and Kristen Schulmerich, during her stay at Monroe Community.

Her visitation will be held 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday (Dec. 17, 2025) at the funeral home, 15 West Ave. in Spencerport. Her funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Interment will be in Stannards Cemetery in Wellsville.
