The annual Silver Bells Christmas Parade and Light Up Night event was held Saturday in Salamanca amid freezing temperatures and light snow flurries. Plenty of decorated and holiday-themed floats and units made their way down Main Street to Jefferson Street Park for the tree-lighting ceremony. Santa, riding in a Salamanca Fire Department ladder truck, helped flip the switch to illuminate the park. Families could stick around to enjoy hot cocoa and cookies and visit with Santa.
