The Franciscan Sisters of Allegany held their annual Blessing and Lighting of the Creche Thursday evening in front of St. Elizabeth Motherhouse. December's full moon — the Cold Moon — is visible at upper right. Local Minister Sister Judith Terrameo offered the blessing and sprinkled holy water on the nativity scene.
