Patrick J. Earley
MANSFIELD — Patrick J. Earley, 62, of Mansfield, passed away Thursday (Nov. 20, 2025) at his home.
He was born June 11, 1963, in Salamanca, son of John Earley Sr. of West Valley, who survives, and the former Rae Smith, who predeceased him. He was engaged to Maureen McCandrew, who survives.
For 35 years, Pat worked for the USPS in Buffalo as area maintenance, and for the final 10 years until his retirement, he was based out of the Great Valley post office, serving the southern tier post offices.
Outside of his work maintenance, Pat was a handyman at home. A jack-of-all, he would flip houses with his fiancée, Maureen, and was great at plumbing, electrical and crafting whatever his mind could envision. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and charter fishing; whatever got Pat outside, he signed up for. Camping and spending time in Onoville was a favorite of Pat’s, as well as trips to Lac-Pythonga in Quebec.
Besides his loving fiancée, with whom he shared 22 years, Pat is survived by two sons, Brian (Melinda) Earley of Mason, W.V. and Chad (Lauren) Earley of Eugene, Ore. Also surviving is a brother, Raymond (Lisa) Earley of Limestone; two sisters, Debbie (Tim) McCarty of Jackson, Pa. and Donna (Gary) Hallick of West Valley; and a sister-in-law, Catherine Earley of Great Valley. Also surviving are four grandchildren; Slade, Nadia, Marina and Ariana; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his mother, Pat is predeceased by a brother, John Earley Jr.
Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today (Nov. 25, 2025) from Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 411 Rock City St. in Little Valley. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Nov. 26, 2025) from the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Cemetery in Great Valley.
