Ellen A. Nichols

MT. MORRIS — Ellen went to be with her Lord on Sunday (Nov. 16, 2025) while at Livingston County CNR in Mt. Morris.

She was the daughter of the late Kenneth and Helen Waite Derx of Angelica.

After graduating from high school in 1960, Ellen earned diplomas from business schools in 1961 and 1984. She retired from a clerical position for Livingston County.

Before her stroke in July 2013, Ellen faithfully attended Oakland Wesleyan Church, belonged to two Koinonia Christian fellowships and enjoyed socializing with and baking for friends and family.

Ellen is survived by three children, Norman Nichols (Debbie) of Ohio, Barbara Kanoun (Keith) of Connecticut and Joellen Nichols of Avon; five grandchildren, Leslie (Dan), Kim, Nathan (Angie), Joshua (Stephanie) and Sarah; and four great-grandchildren, Veronica, Endellion, Mireya and Wesley.

The memorial service for Ellen will be at 11 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 22, 2025) at Oakland Wesleyan Church in Nunda.
