Mary L. Steiner, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.

BOLIVAR — Mary L. Steiner, 92, formerly of 7759 Route 40, Bolivar, passed away Monday (Sept. 8, 2025) at Wellsville Manor Care Center, after a lengthy illness.

Born Aug. 31, 1933, in Campbell, she was a daughter of Leroy and Sybil Wax McKeel. On Nov. 9, 1952, in Bolivar, she married George Steiner, who predeceased her in 1996.

Mary worked for Cooper Industries for many years prior to her retirement in 1995.

She enjoyed doing here crossword puzzles, reading books and being with family.

She is survived by her children, Merri Miller of Clarksville, Carl Steiner and Georgia Steiner, both of Bolivar, and John Steiner of St. Mary’s, Pa.; 15 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; and lots of great-great-grandchildren. She was proud to be a grandmother of five generations.

In addition to her parents and husband, George Steiner, she was predeceased by twin sons whom died in infancy; a son, Gary Steiner; a daughter, Sherri Anderson; and a son-in-law, Bim Miller

Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at West Genesee Cemetery, Route 305 Obi. Pastor Steven Beattie will officiate. A Celebration of life will follow after the graveside service at the West Clarksville Park.
