SUMMERVILLE, S.C. — Mrs. Sylvia Snyder Fessenden, 82, of Summerville, entered into rest Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at Lowcountry Community Hospice in Summerville. Born April 12, 1943, in Olean, N.Y., she was a daughter of the late Charles William Snyder and the late Ruth Martin Snyder. She was a certified nursing assistant in Smethport, Pa. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Amaranth and the White Shrine, which were located in New York before making the Lowcountry of South Carolina her home. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Round O and will always be remembered as an avid Buffalo Bills fan, as well as her love for playing darts and bowling. Surviving are her daughter, Stephanie (Tim) Cooper of Summerville; a brother, Roger (Carol) Snyder of Galivants Ferry; two sisters, Linda Giardini of Round O and Linda McDonald of Florida; two grandchildren, Reece Cooper of Summerville and Matt (Naiara) Cooper, who is stationed in Germany; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Hunter; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Rozanne Fessenden and Max Fessenden; her husband, Robert Earl Fessenden; and a brother, Carl Snyder. A celebration of her life will be held at noon Sunday (Aug. 31, 2025) at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 12898 Round O Road, Round O. Arrangements are by the Brice W.
