Work on a new storage building at Olean Union Sales, 426 S. Union St., is progressing quickly this week. The 60-by-100-foot structure replaces a smaller storage building and a former residential property purchased for the expansion, and company officials reported the building will also allow materials stored off site to be housed at the business. The city zoning board of appeals approved an area variance in July 2024, while the planning board approved a site plan in March.
