OLEAN — Monday is the deadline for businesses to apply to be considered for the fifth Laine Business Accelerator cohort, a joint effort between Olean Business Development Corporation, Jamestown Community College’s Workforce Development and the Entrepreneur Center at St. Bonaventure University.

Those businesses selected to be part of the cohort will receive $5,000 in seed funding, access to extensive mentorship opportunities from leading business experts, and will participate in a 13 week program to help round out their business acumen. Since its inception, the LBA has helped 30 businesses and awarded $160,000 in funding.

This year’s LBA will conclude with a community showcase, where the cohort members will share the stories of their business and how the LBA affected them. It will be held at JCC’s Cutco Theatre Dec. 9, beginning at 6 p.m.
