Diane M. Buckner
Diane M. Buckner
BRADFORD, Pa. — Diane M. Buckner, 72, formerly of 1293 E. Main St., Bradford, passed away Tuesday (June 17, 2025) with her husband at her side, as he always promised.
Born April 28, 1953, in Salamanca, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Robert James and Ruth Emma Reed Deppa. She graduated from Salamanca High School, Class of 1971.
On Dec. 27, 1985, in Allegany, N.Y., Diane married Gregory A. Buckner, who survives.
Together, they built a family that was messy, joyful and chaotic by nature yet stronger than most because its foundation was their love. This was her greatest pride and joy in life and the legacy we will carry into the future.
She was a member of St. Bernard Church, VFW Post 212 of Bradford, the Women of the Moose Chapter 330, and the Bills Mafia.
Surviving in addition to her husband, Greg, of 39 years, are three daughters, Dawn S. (Dennis) Morrisroe and Jill M Torrey, both of Bradford, and Angela M. (Tom Ehlers) Buckner of Salem, Mass.; two sons, Eric J. (Dara) Haynoski and Gregory A (Casey) Buckner Jr., both of Bradford; 12 grandchildren, Patrick Morrisroe, Seth Morrisroe, Ashlyn (Nick) Burt, Abbey Morrisroe, Alec Morrisroe, Isaac Morrisroe, Mackenzie Torrey, Adam Torrey, Isaiah Charnisky, Eli Haynoski, Mason Haynoski and Gregory Buckner III; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Declan Burt; three siblings, Cindy Deppa of Randolph, N.Y., Larry (Jennifer) Deppa of North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Janette (John) Reis of Omaha, Nebraska.; one sister-in-law, Joan Deppa of Allegany; and several nieces and nephews, whom she adored and celebrated, just as her aunts, Norlene Yehl and the late Betty Craig, did for her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two brothers, David Deppa and Robert (the late Jeanne) Deppa III.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (June 19, 2025) at the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc., 33 South Ave. Friends are also invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday (June 20, 2025) in St. Bernard Church, with Rev.
