Dennis L. Holliday, loving husband, father and grandfather

LIMESTONE — Dennis L. Holliday, of Nichols Run Road, passed away Tuesday (June 10, 2025).

Dennis was born July 28, 1955, in Bradford, Pa., and was the son of Donald L. and Virginia Marvin Holliday. On March 18, 1977, in Limestone, he married Kathleen A. Ratzel, who survives.

Dennis was a 1973 Limestone High School graduate.

He worked at several factory jobs over the years, including AVX, Fancher Furniture, OSM and then for Direct TV as a satellite installer until his retirement in 2004, due to a disability.

Dennis enjoyed playing guitar, woodworking and spending time with his family, which he loved dearly, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He also loved his dogs.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Dennis is survived by his three children, Jaime L. (Brandon) Schoonover of Portville, Mark D. Holliday of Limestone and Amber L. Holliday of Limestone; eight grandchildren, Jenna, Morgan, Denzil, Maddison, Shane, Lisa, Isaac and Aleeah; and three great-grandchildren, Greyson, Cedric and Ayla.

Dennis was predeceased by his parents,;and two brothers, Bruce and Mark Holliday.

Services will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Knapp Creed Fire Department at 253 NY-16 Knapp Creek, NY 14760; or to the Cattaraugus County SPCA at 2944 NY-16 Olean, NY 14760.
