Charles E. Pfeffer

WEST VALLEY — Charles E. Pfeffer, of West Valley, passed away Friday (June 6, 2025) at the age of 85.

He was born May 19, 1940, in Olean, a son of the late Charles H. and Gladys Rowland Pfeffer.

He was a sales manager for An-Cor Industrial Plastics in North Tonawanda.

In his free time he enjoyed bird watching, traveling with his late wife in their earlier years, gardening, classic cars and attending events for his grandchildren. He also had been a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Springville.

He is survived by his children, Michelle (Chris) Enser and Mark (Michelle) Pfeffer; siblings, James (Elaine) Pfeffer, John (late Diane) Pfeffer, William (late Becky) Pfeffer and Roselee (Ken) Sullivan; grandchildren, Jennifer (Kit Kolpakas) Pfeffer, Christyn (Bryan) Sullivan, Michael Pfeffer, Marcus (Christina Jefferson) Enser and Patrick (Lauren) Enser; as well as several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Diane (Hanson) Pfeffer, whom he married Sept. 8, 1962. She passed away July 31, 2024.

Friends may call from 2 to4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday (June 12, 2025) at the Smith-Weismantel Funeral Home, 271 E. Main St., Springville, where a funeral service will take place the following day at 11 a.m. with Pastor Tim Klahn officiating. Final interment will be held in Maplewood Cemetery in Springville.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 6215 Sheridan Drive, Suite 100 Amherst, NY 14221; or to a charity of your choice.
