Police reports 6/9/25: Olean man faces multiple drug charges
LITTLE VALLEY — A traffic stop in Olean lead to several drug-related charges for an Olean man, the Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office reported Monday.
Marcus A Turner, 42, was charged at 5:16 a.m. Sunday with two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class C felony; first-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony; second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia and two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors.
The charges stem from a traffic stop on Buffalo Street, during which Turner, a passenger in the vehicle, was found to have two active felony bench warrants issued out of Cattaraugus County Court.
Upon being transported to Cattaraugus County Jail, Turner was allegedly found to have a package concealed in his underwear containing suspected cocaine, methamphetamine, hydrocodone pills, MDMA and other unspecified drug paraphernalia.
Turner was held pending further court proceedings.
Olean Police
- Monday, 8:03 a.m., Robert E. Burlew, 42, of 125 S. Third St., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and speeding in a school zone, an infraction. Burlew is due back in court at a later date.
Salamanca Police
- Friday, 6:38 a.m., Krystal R. Victor-Nosie, 21, of Killbuck, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Victor-Nosie was released with an appearance ticket.
- Friday, 8:17 p.m., David W. Greene, 39, of Salamanca, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of an assault weapon and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class D felonies. Greene was remanded to Cattaraugus County Jail and held pending further court proceedings.
- Saturday, 3:17 p.m., Kyle E. Cooper, 32, of Salamanca, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and resisting arrest, class A misdemeanors; disorderly conduct and second-degree harassment, violations. Cooper was released with an appearance ticket.
- Saturday, 6:20 p.m., Terry L. Nichols, 42, of Salamanca, was charged with aggravated criminal contempt and first-degree introducing dangerous contraband into prison, class D felonies; aggravated family offense, a class E felony; resisting arrest, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, class A misdemeanors. Nichols was held pending arraignment.
- Sunday, 1:08 a.m., Joseph L. Laforme, 25, of Gowanda, was charged with driving while intoxicated, an unclassified misdemeanor; consuming alcohol in a motor vehicle, unsafe turn and two counts of speeding, infractions. Laforme was held pending arraignment.
- Monday, 3:55 a.m., Dennis H. Allen, 43, of Buffalo, was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor. Allen was released with an appearance ticket.
Wellsville Police
- Friday, no time provided, Joshua W. Smith, 26, of Wellsville, was arrested on a bench warrant issued out of Wellsville Village Court. Smith was transported to Allegany County Jail and held pending arraignment.
- Saturday, no time provided, Rachel E. Simon, 37, of Wellsville, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident reported on East Fassett Street. Simon was transported to Allegany County Jail and held pending arraignment.
- Saturday, no time provided, Thomas J. West, 38, of Oswego, was charged with two counts of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from incidents reported at Dollar General and Tops Market. West was released with an appearance ticket.
- Saturday, no time provided, Shawn E. Mills, 48, of Wellsville, was charged with four counts of petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from an investigation at the Wellsville VFW. Mills was released with an appearance Ticket.
- Sunday, no time provided, Michael J. Simon, 48, of Wellsville, was charged with second-degree assault, a class D felony. The charge stems from an incident reported on South Main Street. Simon was released with an appearance ticket.
- Sunday, no time provided, Kaitlin M. Mickle, 20, of Wellsville, was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment, a violation. Mickle was transported to Allegany County Jail and held pending arraignment.
- Sunday, no time provided, James A. Roulo, 43, of Wellsville, was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony. The charge stems from an incident reported on Madison Street. Roulo was transported to Allegany County Jail and held pending arraignment.
Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office
- NEW ALBION — Christopher Bise, 44, of Salamanca, Nicole Brown, 29, of New Albion, Nicholas Hughes, 42, of Salamanca and Khristerpher Ellis, 35, of New Albion, were each charged June 1 with sixth-degree conspiracy, a class B misdemeanor. Hughes and Ellis were additionally charged with petit larceny, class A misdemeanor, and trespass, a violation. The charges stem from the investigation into a report of persons allegedly trespassing and stealing copper telephone lines. All four were released with appearance tickets.
New York State Police
- ANDOVER — Amos J. Gertzen, 20, of Andover, was charged at 12:08 p.m. Friday with first-degree dissemination of indecent material to minors, a class D felony, and acting in a manner injurious to a child, a class A misdemeanor. The charges stem from an incident reported May 28. Gertzen was held pending arraignment.
- CLARKSVILLE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 11:13 p.m. Friday on Route 305. Katherine L. Karnuth, 52, of West Clarksville, was identified as the driver. One injury was reported.
- ALLEGANY — David M. Paulson, 43, of Olean, was charged at 1:45 p.m. Saturday with petit larceny and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, class A misdemeanors. Paulson was released with an appearance ticket.
- FARMERSVILLE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:39 p.m. Saturday on Pigeon Hill Road. Eriel J. Cuevas, 29, of Portageville, was identified as the driver. One injury was reported.
- DAYTON — James W. Lewellyn, 45, of Angola, was charged at 11:43 p.m. Saturday with fourth-degree criminal mischief and unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, class A misdemeanors. Lewellyn was released on his own recognizance.
- ALLEN — Corey W. Frye, 25, of Livonia, was charged at 2:59 a.m. Sunday with making a terroristic threat and two counts of second-degree assault, class D felonies; third-degree assault, fourth-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and second-degree obstruction of governmental administration, class A misdemeanors. Frye’s status was not reported.
