BOLIVAR — In an emotional game, Fillmore scored with just five minutes left in the second overtime period to defeat host Bolivar-Richburg in the Oil Town Showdown.

Fillmore (7-0) stayed unbeaten with the 2-1 first-round tournament win, which doubled as an Allegany Co. Div. I matchup. Amanda Burrichter scored first for Fillmore and Carlee Miller scored the game-winner in the second overtime.

Vic Stuck scored for Bolivar-Richburg (5-3) off a direct kick.

Paige Taylor recorded four saves for Bolivar-Richburg and Riley Voss got two saves for Fillmore.

Fillmore will play Whitesville in the championship game on Saturday at 2 o’clock.


Bradford 2, Erie 1

ERIE, Pa. — Mikayla Bond recorded a pair of first-half goals — both coming off assists from Regan Johnson — to lift Bradford to a big road win.

“We controlled the tempo and the ball in the first half,” Bradford coach Warren Shaw said. “We played sound positionally and worked together. It was a gutsy and tough game in a raucous environment. This was great effort and hard work from the team as a whole.”

Mackenzie Lucas made eight saves for the Owls (4-5), including a stop on a PK 10 minutes into the second half. Erie tallied on a header late in the period, but Bradford, which snapped a three-game losing streak, was able to keep the lead intact.


Cuba-Rushford 3, Belfast 2

CUBA — Belfast’s comeback came up just short as it fell to Cuba-Rushford after falling behind 3-0 in the first half.

The Rebels scored all three of their goals in the first half, starting with a goal from Bailey Rouse off the assist of Anna Blayson. Alyssa Bump got the second goal and Macie Demick recorded the third off the assist from Bump. Both of Belfast’s goals were scored in the second half by Hannah Helms.

Tara Duvall had ten saves for Cuba-Rushford (1-4) and Jaiden Enders had eight saves for Belfast (3-5).

Amherst 6, Pioneer 1

AMHERST — Amherst (4-2-1) cruised to victory with one goal each for Tess Weber, Olivia Shortt and Hannah Zimmerman.

Ashley Bliss scored for Pioneer (4-5). Pioneer’s Jasmine Sims made 24 saves in a busy night in net.


Whitesville 3, Port Allegany 1

BOLIVAR — Whitesville (7-1) got the first-round victory as the Blue Jays had two goals Zoey Lee and one from Falyn Lewis-Ellison also contributed with a goal.

Onalee Emery recorded five saves for Whitesville. Riley Lawton scored the lone goal for Port Allegany (4-4) while Cheyenne Heffner made six saves. The Gators play B-R in the consolation game Saturday at noon.
