OLEAN — An Olean man charged last fall in an alleged Portville methamphetamine lab discovery is now facing charges for allegedly selling drugs in Olean.

The Olean Police Department charged Eric J. Nellis, 28, of 124 N. Barry St., Apt. 4, Olean, at 4:35 p.m. Friday with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class B felony; fourth-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance, a class C felony; and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class D felony.

Nellis allegedly sold drugs in the city of Olean on unspecified prior dates, according to his arrest report.

He was turned over to Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office for further processing.

Nellis was charged Oct. 8 with third-degree unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine, a class D felony, after Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on 5 Spring Court in Portville, where task force members reportedly discovered several items used to make meth.

Olean Police

  • Friday, 2:17 a.m., Cody A. Williams, 29, of 7072 Route 417, Bolivar, was charged with petit larceny, a class A misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing $19.39 worth of merchandise from Country Fair. He was issued an appearance ticket and due in Olean City Court on July 30.

Salamanca Police

  • Thursday, 7:38 p.m., Girlie Contreraz, no age reported, of Niagara Falls, was charged at 7:38 p.m. Thursday with obstruction following a disturbance on Broad Street. She was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Salamanca City Court at a later date.
  • Friday, 3:34 a.m., Danny Tuttle, no age reported, of Elkland, Pa., was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor, and failure to stop at a stop sign, a violation. He was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Salamanca City Court for first appearance and arraignment.

  • HINSDALE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7 a.m. Thursday on Fay Hollow and Maple Hill roads. Todd A. Russell, 21, of Portville, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
  • ANGELICA — Dylan C. Lehman, 23, of Angelica, was charged at 2:48 p.m. Thursday with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class A misdemeanor, and controlled substance in non-original container and unlawful possession of marijuana, both violations. He was issued an appearance ticket.
  • WEST ALMOND — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:58 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 86 at the West Almond exit 32. Justen L. M. Slack, 29, of Belmont, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
  • GENESEE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:07 p.m. Thursday on Route 417 and Sanford Hollow Road. Michelle A. Morris, 29, of Bolivar, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
  • HINSDALE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:43 a.m. Friday on Interstate 86 at the Allegany County line. William A. Zittel, 59, of Eden, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

— A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:58 a.m. Friday on Route 19 and Sand Hill Road. David Edward Jennings, 66, of Belfast, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
