SALAMANCA— A body was discovered in Salamanca Friday morning, according to the Salamanca Police Department.
Salamanca Police Chief Troy Westfall confirmed to the Olean Times Herald Saturday social media reports about the discovery, but did not immediately provide other details.
The last time a body was reported in the city was in December when a 22-year-old Buffalo man, Juwaan Holt, was found stabbed to death at 357 Broad St.
The Cattaraugus County District Attorney has said that death was part of a drug-related robbery, charging Brandon Francis, 22, of Salamanca, with two counts of second-degree murder, class A-1 felonies; as well as two counts of first-degree assault and two counts of first-degree robbery, all class B felonies.
