OLEAN — For the second consecutive year, Jason Yaworsky, chief information officer, Twin Tier, Kaleida Health, was named to the list of 100 Community Hospital CIOs to Know 2018 by Becker’s Hospital Review.
Those who lead a community hospital or health system’s IT department and functions face unique challenges in their efforts to connect with patients, physician offices and other care settings — securely and often across broad geographies — using limited resources.
Yaworsky served as director of IT at Olean General Hospital and senior vice president, chief information officer, Upper Allegheny Health System, Bradford Regional Medical Center, OGH, before moving to his current role.
Over the last 10 years, he is credited with leading the IT team in earning the Most Wired recognition by the American Hospital Association’s Health Care Forum for two consecutive years, implementing the electronic health record system and computerized order entry for physicians, updating digital clinical imaging and creating patient portal access.
Upper Allegheny Health System is the parent company of Bradford Regional Medical Center and Olean General Hospital, members of Kaleida Health.
