SCIO — A Bolivar man was arrested Monday after allegedly being found unconscious in a vehicle with both a child and drug paraphernalia present.

Chad D. Griswold, 36, of Bolivar, was charged at 2:55 p.m. with aggravated driving while intoxicated with a child in the vehicle, a class E felony; operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, an unclassified misdemeanor; and endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor.

According to New York State Police, troopers were investigating a vehicle stopped on the roadway on Route 19 when they reportedly discovered Griswold unresponsive behind the wheel of his vehicle, which was in gear and running, with a child present.

Troopers also allegedly located small quantities of heroin and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

Griswold was treated with multiple doses of naloxone at the scene and transported to Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville, where he was treated and released. He was subsequently arrested and transported to the Amity state police barracks for processing.

He was released with tickets to appear in court at a later date.

Olean Police

• Saturday, 3:31 p.m., no injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident in the Big Lots parking lot on North Union Street. Shaynee L. Mesler, 25, of 92 State Park Ave., Salamanca, was attempting to pull into a parking space when she reportedly struck an unoccupied, parked vehicle.

• Monday, 7:36 p.m., one injury was reported from a two-vehicle accident on East State Street near Front Street. Jaydon A. Deangelo, 18, of 901 Osgood Ave., Olean, reportedly struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Chad A. Green, 43, of 3898 Pumpkin Hollow Road, Allegany, which was stopped in traffic. Green complained of soreness in the neck and back but refused medical treatment at the scene. Deangelo was cited for using a mobile phone while operating a motor vehicle and following too closely, infractions.

Cattaraugus County Sheriff’s Office

• LITTLE VALLEY — Dalton M. Wilson, 18, of 114 Division St., Salamanca, was charged at 4:15 p.m. Monday with endangering the welfare of a child, a class A misdemeanor, and other unspecified traffic violations. The charges stem from Wilson allegedly allowing a 15-year-old to drive his vehicle with 14-year-old and 16-year-old passengers also in the vehicle. Wilson was issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.

New York State Police

• FRIENDSHIP — Waldo Rivera-Garcia, 45, of Hialeah, Fla., was charged at 7:30 a.m. Oct. 27 with driving while intoxicated and operating a motor vehicle with a blood-alcohol content of 0.08 percent or greater, unclassified misdemeanors; fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a class A misdemeanor; and operating a motor vehicle in violation of safety rules, an infraction. Rivera-Garcia was held.

• NAPOLI — Tina Kennedy, 36, and Gabrielle Post, 30, both of Cattaraugus, were each charged Thursday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. The charges stem from a traffic stop. Kennedy and Post are due to appear in court at a later date.

• BURNS — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:28 a.m. Monday on State Highway 70. Alyssa Drew Romig, 23, of Hilton, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• ANDOVER — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:35 a.m. Monday on Highway 417 near Barrett Road. Jacob R. Robarts, 24, of Wellsville, as identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• CANEADEA — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:45 a.m. Monday on Route 19 near Gulf Road. Dennis R. Neamon, 49, of Freedom, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• AMITY — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:45 a.m. Monday on Highway 244 near Crandall Road. Kiendra D. Simpson, 19, of Elmira, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• WEST ALMOND — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:10 a.m. Monday on Interstate 86 near exit 32. Vicki L. Parry, 47, of Angelica, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• BOLIVAR — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 11:28 a.m. Monday on Route 417 near Kossuth Road. Carl S. Childs, 66, of Bolivar, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• CARROLLTON — A two-vehicle accident was reported at 1:50 p.m. Monday on Route 219 near Interstate 86. Thomas Michael Paprocki, 51, of Salamanca, and Seema A. Gadiwalla, 52, of Clarksville, Md., were identified as the drivers. No injuries were reported.

• WIRT — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:33 p.m. Monday on County Road 34 near Harland Ames Road. Bonnie J. Cross, 69, of Bolivar, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• ANDOVER — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:23 p.m. Monday on Perkins Road near Fulmer Valley Road. Patricia M. Beckwith, 61, of Wellsville, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• HINSDALE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:34 p.m. Monday on Route 16 near Interstate 86. Toni L. Linderman, 62, of Ischua, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• HUME — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:36 p.m. Monday on County Road 3 near Weaver Road. Dominic James Leroy Wiltse, 25, of Machias, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• ALLEGANY — William R. Sanders, 19, of Lackawanna, was charged at 10:05 p.m. Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Sanders was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

• PERRYSBURG — Steven P. Nasewytewa, 30, of Perrysburg, was charged at 4 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class A misdemeanors. Nasewytewa was held.

• CUBA — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 86 near Route 305. Kenneth L. Stephens, 34, of Angelica, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
