Olean food truck burglary

Surveillance video shows a male suspect entering the food truck at East State and Front streets early Tuesday morning. 

OLEAN — The Olean Police Department is investigating the burglary of a food truck early Tuesday morning at the intersection of East State and Front streets.

An unknown male suspect at approximately 1:38 a.m. reportedly entered the food truck through a side door and subsequently took a cash box containing $100, as well as approximately $30 in change.

Olean police posted surveillance video on its Facebook page Wednesday showing the suspect exiting the food truck.

They are requesting anyone who recognizes the suspect, or has any information about the burglary, to call them at 376-5677, or the department’s Criminal Investigation Unit at 376-5673.

• Tuesday, 6:04 p.m., no injuries were reported from at two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Washington and Buffalo Streets. Victor V. Smith, 31, of 116 N. Clinton St., Olean, reportedly struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Jean M. Peterson, 53, of 219 N. 18th St., Olean, afterward allegedly leaving the scene. At 1:39 a.m. Wednesday, Smith was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, an unclassified misdemeanor; and following too closely, leaving the scene of property damage and having no license, all infractions. Smith is due back in court at a later date.

• Wednesday, 6:08 p.m., no injuries were reported from a two-vehicle accident on West State Street near North Fifth Street. Mourece D. Gayton, 18, of 911 Page Road, Olean, reportedly struck the rear end of a vehicle driven by  Mark C. Frank II, 38, of 38 Leonard Ave., Bradford, Pa., which was stopped in traffic.

Wellsville Police

• Tuesday, no time provided, Lacy L. Small, 61, currently incarcerated in Allegany County Jail, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, a class A misdemeanor. The charge stems from an incident reported last month. Small was arraigned and returned to county jail, and is due back in court at a later date.

Allegany County Sheriff’s Office

• WELLSVILLE — Amanda J. Clark, 34, of Wellsville, was arrested at an unspecified time Friday on an Allegany County Family Court warrant. Clark was transported to Allegany County Family Court, where she was arraigned and released after posting bail.

• BELMONT — Daniel L. Frost, 28, of Wellsville, was charged Friday with first-degree promoting prison contraband, a class D felony. The charge stems from the investigation of an incident that occurred at the Allegany County Jail. Frost was processed and transported to the Friendship Town Court, where he was arraigned and remanded to county jail with bail set at $10,000 cash or $20,000 bond. He is due back in court at a later date.

• WEST ALMOND — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:31 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 86 at milepost 114. An unidentified 18-year-old Rouses Point female was reported as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• CANEADEA —  An unidentified 18-year-old Springville male was charged at 8:56 p.m. Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was issued an appearance ticket.

• ALLEGANY —  Philip D. Webb, 26, of Salamanca, was charged at 10:29 p.m. Sunday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. He was issued an appearance ticket.

• ALMOND — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 10:34 p.m. Sunday on Interstate 86 at exit 33. An unidentified 18-year-old Windsor female was reported as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• FRIENDSHIP — James W. Stills, 45, of Baltimore, Md., was charged at 11:15 a.m. Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle without appropriate license decal, violations; tractor trailer exceeding weight and an equipment violation, infractions. Stills was issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.

• WIRT — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 3:33 p.m. Monday on County Road 34 near Harland Ames Road. Bonnie J. Cross, 69, of Bolivar, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• ANDOVER — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:23 p.m. Monday on Perkins Road near Fulmer Valley Road. Patricia M. Beckwith, 61, of Wellsville, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• HINSDALE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 7:34 p.m. Monday on Route 16 near Interstate 86. Toni L. Linderman, 62, of Ischua, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• HUME — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 8:36 p.m. Monday on County Road 3 near Weaver Road. Dominic James Leroy Wiltse, 25, of Machias, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• ALLEGANY — William R. Sanders, 19, of Lackawanna, was charged at 10:05 p.m. Monday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Sanders was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

• PERRYSBURG — Steven P. Nasewytewa, 30, of Perrysburg, was charged at 4 a.m. Tuesday with second-degree menacing and two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, class A misdemeanors. Nasewytewa was held.

• CUBA — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on Interstate 86 near Route 305. Kenneth L. Stephens, 34, of Angelica, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• MACHIAS — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:32 a.m. Tuesday at the intersection of Elton Road and Route 16. Ann E. Evans, 27, of Holland, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• PORTVILLE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:08 a.m. Tuesday on Olean-Portville Road. Gregory P. McElfresh, 60, of Olean, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• WELLSVILLE —  Dustin A. Kio, 32, of Genesee, Pa., was charged at 12:08 p.m. Tuesday with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and first-degree operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, unclassified misdemeanors; having no license and having improper plates, infractions. Kio was issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.

• YORKSHIRE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 1 p.m. Tuesday on McKinstry Road near Gooseneck Road. Sylvia A. Chase, 73, of Machias, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• WELLSVILLE — Nicole M. Lee, 48, and Thomas C. Lee, 37, both of Willing, were each charged at 1 p.m. Tuesday with unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation. Both were issued tickets to appear in court at a later date.

• ALMA — A two-vehicle accident was reported at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Route 417 East near White Hill Road. Hannah F. Thompsett, 28, of Allentown, was identified as one of the drivers. No injuries were reported.

• CATTARAUGUS — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Route 16 near Martin Road. Kathleen A. Marzec, 65, of Olean, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• FRANKLINVILLE — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Route 98 near Jarecki Road. Barbara Ann Bays, 48, of Franklinville, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• WEST ALMOND — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday on County Road 16 near Murphy Hill Road. Sean A. Rasmussen, 31, of Canaseraga, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.

• BOLIVAR — A 16-year-old Bolivar male was charged at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday with criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor. He was issued a ticket to appear in court at a later date.

• MACHIAS — A one-vehicle accident was reported at 9:09 p.m. Tuesday on Main Street near Route 242. Martin J. Jacobson, 35, of Allegany, was identified as the driver. No injuries were reported.
