Sarah Johnson
Runaway slave Sarah Johnson was a well-known and respected midwife in the Olean area in the 1800s. She was protected from slave hunters by many residents in the community. Her story and other accounts will be told Sunday at Yoga Betsy’s in honor of Black History Month.
