FRANKLINVILLE — Town Justice Wayne Holden is running two campaigns in the upcoming election: one for his re-election and one to keep his job as one of two town justices.
A Republican, he’s running unopposed on the Democrat and Conservative lines. Republicans did not caucus, so there was no way to nominate a candidate for justice of the peace.
Besides the justice vacancy, town voters will see a proposition to eliminate one of the two town justice posts — his.
“I feel like I’m fighting an uphill battle,” Judge Holden said in an interview earlier this week. “I can win the election, but I might lose my job.”
