HINSDALE — A second forgery charge has been issued against an SPCA of Cattaraugus County employee already facing a charge of felony possession of a forged instrument.
During his appearance Wednesday night in Hinsdale Town Court before Judge Michael Gilliland, Phillip Barrett, 38, of 869 Underwood Road, was charged with possession of a forged instrument, a misdemeanor to which he pleaded not guilty.
After accepting the plea, Judge Gilliland released Barrett on his own recognizance. Barrett is scheduled to next appear in Hinsdale Town Court on Nov. 14.
The new charge against Barrett dates back to January 2009, when authorities allege Barrett possessed a forged rabies certificate.
