A mainstay in Seneca Nation politics is hoping to make a return to the tribe’s government this election year.
This week, Barry E. Snyder Sr. announced his intention to once again ascend to the tribe’s presidency.
“As being one of the founding fathers of The Original Seneca Party, we started the party with many principles — one of those being that we are the voice of the people,” Mr. Snyder said. “I think some of that’s been lost ... and there are people out there that feel intimidated to come to the (Tribal Council) meetings because they’re scared they might lose their jobs.
