RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Syneos Health Inc. (SYNH) on Tuesday reported a loss of $10.4 million in its third quarter.
On a per-share basis, the Raleigh, North Carolina-based company said it had a loss of 10 cents. Earnings, adjusted for one-time gains and costs, came to 75 cents per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of eight analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 68 cents per share.
The clinical research company posted revenue of $1.11 billion in the period, matching Street forecasts.
Syneos Health expects full-year earnings in the range of $2.66 to $2.80 per share.
Syneos Health shares have climbed almost 7 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has dropped 20 percent in the last 12 months.
