OLEAN - The Olean High School softball team didn’t reach the Far West Regionals, losing in the Section 6 finals last weekend, but the Huskies’ home field was the site of two state qualifying games on Tuesday.

In the Class C Far West Regional, Randolph advanced to the state Final Four with a 10-4 win over Section 5 champion Perry. The win boosted the Cardinals’ record to 18-1 on the season while Perry fell to 17-2.

In the second game, Batavia Notre Dame (19-3) edged Section 6 champion Forestville (17-3), 1-0, behind a no-hitter by Trisha Pike.
